Ice Fishing in Lake of the Woods…

I went on my first trip with a couple uncles and my cousin. They were showing me the ropes, and helping me in the art of Ice Fishing. It was really fun. It was some of the most fun I’ve every had fishing…ever. I’m thinking that it may be a new thing I can continue to learn, and do.

We drove 6 hours up north, and stayed at the Lakeroad Lodge Motel. They provided also Fish Shack rental. The couple that run the Rentals, and Motel are good people. They stop by and check on you to see how you are doing. He shares how others are doing while fishing. He refreshes the included bait supply, packs snow around your shack to stop the wind drafts. He also re-drills your ice fishing holes every morning. It is a great ice fishing experience.
