Keeping kids entertained by waiting for flights!  Brilliant!

While people-watching, reading and nervously quadruple-checking your boarding pass are perfectly valid ways to pass the time before your flight boards, they pale in comparison to squeezing in a few online rounds of Mario Kart 7. Thanks to a deal between Nintendo and Boingo, 42 airports now have free 3DS WiFi hotspots.

Spotify CEO Daniel Ek took the stage at Le Web in Paris this morning and announced Spotify “radio,” a new service offering “unlimited stations” and “unlimited skips.”This is presumably designed to be a Pandora-killer.

Microsoft: Sold Almost 1 Million Xboxes Last Week

Microsoft sold 960,000 Xbox 360s last week, making it the best week ever in the console’s five year history. It sold 800,000 copies in only 24 hours around Black Friday.

That would make the Xbox 360 one of the hottest product launches ever in terms of units sold per day.

Except that the Xbox 360 is six years old. That’s astounding.
